I am pleased to announce that we finally have a program that enables the use of FT8/FT4 on 11 meters.
This is an important milestone for our community and the result of a long journey that has not been without its challenges.
This software does not belong to any particular group; it belongs to the community as a whole, and it has been developed by individuals from different groups.
Where the ALFA TANGO group has indeed played a fundamental role is in defining and leading the project that has allowed us to reach this goal. To this end, and as a key contributor —not only in development but also in leadership— we have 1AT106 Lorenzo.
He, together with other operators (1XZ732 Pietro and 161XZ085 Andrea), is making available to everyone a software solution that allows 11‑meter operators to reach the technical level of the most advanced digital modes.
I would also like to acknowledge those who collaborated in the testing of this software: 1AT108 Andy, 1AT746 Alex, 3AT737 Antonio, 26AT016 Paul, 26AT043 Nick, 26AT715 Trevor and myself 30AT048.
For my part, as the Digital Modes Manager in AT, I have contributed in every way I could, though I consider my only merit to be surrounding myself with the team of people who made this great achievement possible.

Sono felice di annunciare che finalmente abbiamo un programma che permette di utilizzare FT8/FT4 sugli 11 metri.
Si tratta di un traguardo importante per la nostra comunità, frutto di un lungo percorso che non è stato privo di difficoltà.
Questo software non appartiene a un gruppo specifico, ma all’intera comunità, ed è stato sviluppato grazie al contributo di persone provenienti da realtà diverse.
Il gruppo ALFA TANGO, però, ha avuto un ruolo fondamentale nell’ideazione e nel coordinamento del progetto che ci ha portati a raggiungere questo obiettivo. In questo contesto, un contributo determinante — sia nello sviluppo sia nella guida del lavoro — è stato quello di 1AT106 Lorenzo.
Insieme ad altri operatori (1XZ732 Pietro e 161XZ085 Andrea), sta mettendo a disposizione di tutti una soluzione software che consente agli operatori degli 11 metri di raggiungere il livello tecnico dei modi digitali più avanzati.

Per quanto mi riguarda, nel mio ruolo di Digital Modes Manager di AT, ho contribuito in ogni modo possibile. Tuttavia, ritengo che il mio unico vero merito sia stato quello di circondarmi di un team di persone che ha reso possibile questo grande risultato.
