Paoli Alberto was: Filippo Antonio Pasquale de' Paoli, known as Pascal Paoli, born on 6 April 1725 in Morosaglia and died on 5 February 1807 in London was a Corsican politician, philosopher and military man. Paoli was the main opponent of Genoese rule in the XVIIIᵉ century and then of the French conquest of the island in 1769
